In oil refining or exploration sites, the presence of hydrogen sulfide can be hazardous to safe working conditions. Audible and visible warnings or alarms are activated when gas concentrations exceed two pre-set levels. A “Warning” or low alarms is activated when a low concentration of hydrogen sulfide is detected. A distinctive pulsing alarm is activated when a higher concentration is detected. This “High Alarm” (A) can be cleared only when the concentration drops below the alarm set point. The measuring range is 0-500 ppm H2S.
